This film is adapted from the novel "Kill Me Not" by the Japanese queen of mystery, Shizuko Natsuki. To win back the love of his wife Xin Dijia, Zhang Xiaolong uses AR technology to seamlessly integrate information from the real and virtual worlds. He successfully transforms pre-designed virtual world information into Xin Dijia's real memories, thereby changing her emotional decisions. However, there is a fatal bug in Zhang Xiaolong's plan as he did not account for human betrayal. This leads to Xin Dijia being secretly kidnapped by his best friend, Xing Bo. In the process of rescuing his wife, Zhang Xiaolong is forced to "expose" all his past secrets, pushing the emotional relationship between himself and Xin Dijia to the brink of life and death.
