The OFFICIAL JoBlo Originals’ Live Stream, Friday Night Flicks with Kier Gomes, is back, and this time, he’s got a special guest with Mr. John Fallon, a noted horror actor (Saw II, 100 Feet, Alone in the Dark) and director (The Shelter, Malicious – which you can watch on Tubi or HERE)) who also happens to be our President of Operations at JoBlo. But, if you’re reading this, you may know him best from his days as The Arrow on our horror sister site, Arrow in the Head. Being a horror devotee, he joins Kier for what promises to be a fun conversation about “gateway horror”.

So, what’s “gateway horror” you may be asking? Basically, it’s the horror movies you watched as a kid that set you up for horror fandom at an early age. For a lot of us who grew up in a certain era, it might be the PG-rated horror classics Jaws and Poltergeist, while for others, it might be something a bit softer like the eighties cult classic Little Monsters. Heck, it might be that your gateway horror fave was something super hardcore, like a Nightmare on Elm Street flick, or a Friday the 13th. With Halloween just around the corner, now is a good time to dig into the scary movies we loved as kids!
